Our Projects

Providing enduring options for a resilient food supply

A pop-up Victorian Government pandemic initiative has become a long-term proposition to build a resilient food system and support regional economies, thanks to a new partnership with Open Food Network Australia. Our team are now offering long-term e-commerce solutions for the Victorian producers who were part of the Victorian Country Market, as the VCM pop-up transitions to a marketing rather than e-commerce site.

Our team has been busy onboarding producers to the Open Food Network platform to ensure continuous operation for farmers selling direct to eaters. Producers join the 1300+ farmers and food enterprises already using the platform to reach over 9000 shoppers.

We have also been contracted to expand the viable logistics options available to farmers, through expansion of Open Road, our collaborative logistics offering undertaken in partnership with other not-for-profit organisations.

Producers will also have access to tailored support, in addition to our existing training and resources that help anyone running a food enterprise.
