Start selling on the platform

Start selling on the Open Food Network platform in just a few easy steps.

It only takes 5-10 minutes to set up a shop or profile. You can register:

  • a Profile which tells the story of your farm,
  • a Producer shop where you sell your own produce,
  • or a Hub shop where you sell produce from multiple producers.

It’s free to have a Profile or if your shop is selling less than $500 a month. Once you’re selling more than $500 a month it costs 2-3% as a solidarity member.

Get started

Step 1: Register on the platform

Step 2: Add products

Step 3: Choose your payment methods

Step 4: Choose your distribution methods

Step 5: Set your enterprise fees (optional)

Step 6: Choose your level of membership

Step 7: Open your shop!

You’re done!

If you haven’t chosen a membership option then we will be in touch to find out which membership option you’d like. We’ll also touch base to make sure you’re confident with the platform.

We also have set-up guides for slightly more complex uses like food hubs, farmers’ market pre-orders from multiple producers, buying groups, and more. You can access all of those in our User Guide.

Want to see what else the platform can do?

Now that you’re set up, you can view your orders, get detailed reports and explore the advanced features to see how you can use the Open Food Network to cater to the unique needs of your business.

We are always trying to improve our systems – if you need additional features please let us know and we can start working on it together!
