Philippa is the Human Resource Coordinator for Open Food Network. She has always had a passion for helping people and thoroughly enjoyed studying psychology at university. She was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to work as an Operations Manager early on in her career and loved helping to grow and develop her team to be their best selves at work. She recently decided to pursue further studies in Human Resources and has now been given the fantastic opportunity to work as Human Resources Coordinator for Open Food Network!
Philippa grew up with a real love of food. Coming from a Greek and Italian migrant background, food was always the centre of celebrations and a way to express love and gratitude between family and friends. Her family has a long history in the wholesale fruit and veg markets and her Dad owned a mushroom farm for many years. This exposed Philippa to some of the challenges faced by local growers in Victoria, but she joins the Open Food Network excited to learn a lot more about how we can improve local food systems.
Philippa will be supporting this huge period of expansion for Open Food Network Australia by welcoming many new staff and helping the team grow and develop together.
