2016 Gippsland Food Growers and Makers
n October 2016 OFN, with assistance from the Victorian Government, partnered with Baw Baw Food Hub, Grow Lightly and Westernport Catchment and Landcare Network to host a fantastic Gippsland Food Growers and Makers event. 160 attendants heard 10 inspiring “pecha kucha” style presentations from local projects followed by workshops in the afternoon with lots of opportunities for networking over local food!
The organiser, Jodi, wrote up a “playbook” for this “regional local food activation” event (inc budget, format etc) so others can learn and adapt from our experience in hosting this event. You can also check out her top tips and lessons learned in a summary article.
