Our Team

Katrina Dunnett de Jong

Katrina Dunnett de Jong grew up berry farm in North East Victoria. Some of her earliest memories are of selling fruit from the farm gate store – so small she would have to peek over the benchtop to serve customers.

After finishing school, Katrina moved to Melbourne to study – completing a Bachelor of Marketing and Branded Environments.

Katrina’s experience spans many different industries, including FMCG and Print Media – predominately in food areas. Most significantly, she fell in love with working in the NFP space – with experience at the Cancer Council and FareShare Australia.

Katrina adores marketing for its boundless creative capacity and ability to function as a tool to have an impact and generate meaningful conversations. Her top areas of interest surround access and availability to food and food education. Currently, Katrina is pursuing further study in Food Science to go on to a Pathway to Dietetics.

Katrina is a food fanatic – obsessed with cooking, eating and sharing what she makes. Outside work, her favourite things are throwing dinner parties, hanging out with her dogs and trail running in the countryside.

Excited to be part of the team, Katrina is proud to put her skills, experience and passion into practice to help tell Open Food Network’s stories.
