Our Team

Ronella is passionate about Food Systems and Food Justice, and has been involved in Community Food Enterprises for most of her life.

Her work at the Open Food Network has been focused on supporting producers and food hubs to sell online and on projects that focus on creating access to food with dignity.

After taking a career break from marketing to have two adorable children, Ronella made the decision to direct her energy and focus into working in her local food system.

Her marketing, analysis and produce experience is invaluable at the Open Food Network, and is used to understand local contexts and identify community groups, their needs and how to meet them.

Ronella grew up in Malaysia, with an Indian father and Australian mother. She particularly enjoys working with diverse enterprises and communities and the nuances of growing a food culture.

When she isn’t working from home, Ronella can be found having adventures with her kids, shopping at local food hubs, establishing her backyard edible garden and filling the house with books
